Spotlight Award

The Ulum Group has earned a 2003 Spotlight Award in the public service category from the Portland Metro chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. Entries were open to public relations practitioners from throughout Oregon and southwest Washington. The Eugene-based public relations firm was the only winner from outside the Portland metropolitan area.

The firm won the award for a statewide outreach campaign to raise awareness of the pharmaceutical industry’s free and discounted prescription drug assistance programs. Dianne Danowski Smith, director of The Ulum Group’s Portland office, managed the campaign.
